Boobies at SXSW

March, 12 2010

I met two (of the BOOBIES girls) at the NW Women's Show in Seattle, WA who gave me two wife-beater BOOBIES shirts, as I was about to attend South by Southwest Interactive in Austin, TX. I promised to wear them and let people know about the proceeds going to breast cancer research, and the website. On Day 1, I ran across Phil DeFranco, a prolific vlogger and media guy who has millions of hits to his Youtube channel, and he asked to film me wearing the shirt. View Youtube video. Show us your BOOBIES! Cancer affects us all. Sharing this information you can help provide support and inspiration to others. Send us your story and photos showing your support for the Boobies. huglovesave@hotmail.com
OB/GYN Associates Spokane

The group at OB/GYN Associates Spokane, WA ordered a bunch of BOOBIES shirts for their office to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Great reminder for all of us ladies to get our annual mammograms.

Seattle 3-Day Walk

Liza and a group of friends participated in the 60 mile, 3-day Susan G. Komen Walk, proudly supporting the BOOBIES!

Avon 2 Day Walk

Shawn and Jenny participated in the 39.3 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in San Francisco. They raised $10,800! Amazing. I’m so proud that our BOOBIE shirts have now crossed the Golden Gate Bridge.

Annual Mammogram

Thank you Tina for showing us your Boobies:) But most importantly, thank you for getting your mammogram!

Woman’s Best Friend

Most recently my dog “Jake” was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and is still as happy as ever.

In honor of Nicholas Smelko

My Cousin, Nicholas Smelko succumbed to testicular cancer April 19, 2003 at the age of 24. Nick is greatly missed and often remembered fondly by his family and friends. It is with fond memories that we participate in the "Race for the Cure" in honor of Nick. This deadly disease has touched many of our lives. The shock of discovering new cases has not withered. I believe that unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything.

I walk in MEMORY of Nick Smelko, SUPPORT for Virginia Southmayd, HOPE for Jake and a FUTURE for those of us who may face this disease tomorrow. Please unite with us to help fight cancer. Every little bit helps. Let's make a difference.
